Welcome to the Carpe Diem Florarium website! I am Zsuzsanna Kasza-Tóth Mátyásné Gera, and making florariums, or bottle gardens, is my passion. My business was started in 2024 with the aim of bringing the little wonders of nature into people's homes, in a unique and maintenance-free form.

 

My passion for florariums stems from the fact that these tiny glass-enclosed ecosystems are truly fascinating. They function like a miniature rainforest, where the planted moisture-loving plants create their own, completely self-sustaining world. This means that they can exist for many years without requiring any care or even watering. The natural cycle takes place inside the glass: the amount of water received when planting is reused in the form of mist that reflects off the glass walls. This wonderful independence and the perfect harmony of nature inspired me to share this experience with others.

 

Carpe Diem Florarium's mission is to create living gifts that are not only beautiful and unique, but also have a deeper meaning. I believe that a florarium is much more than just a simple plant. A living time capsule that lives and grows with the recipient, reminding them of the given milestone, be it a birth, christening, graduation, wedding gift, parent-child greeting, birthday, name day or anniversary. These bottle gardens act as a real gift, as the recipient will not have to worry about it, they can just enjoy the view and the peace it radiates.
